Danny Gokey, Christian artist, singer/songwriter, philanthropist and American Idol finalist, will grace the stage of Metro Life Church in Casselberry, Florida, March 27th, 2015. Doors open at 6:30PM and the show starts at 7:30PM, beginning with local favorite, Allison Gilland, followed by an evening with Gokey.
Followers of American Idol will remember Gokey as Season 8’s fan favorite and third-place finisher. His personal story of deep loss and triumph laces his music with striking honesty, haunting melodies and powerful lyrics. Overcoming the death of his first wife and honoring her life by regaining joy, Gokey’s music spans genres and rhythm, reflecting his experience with loss, gain and an always-growing relationship with God.
Sharing selections from his first two albums, My Best Days and Hope In Front of Me, Gokey brings fresh energy to his hits. His freshman album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard charts and earned Gokey the best opening-week sales by a debut country male artist in 18 years. Touring with high-profile acts, such as Sugarland and Taylor Swift, Gokey still found the time to launch Sophia’s Heart, an organization founded to carry on the legacy of giving started by his late wife.
